My Background

Hello, I'm Vera Wanjiru Hoffman, a global citizen with roots in Kenya and the USA, currently living in Groningen, Netherlands. My schooling is quite unique, I attend a boarding school in Japan, which has not only broadened my horizons but also deepened my passion for learning and exploration.

 

In my free time, I'm a versatile enthusiast - from sketching to singing, dancing to acting, and whipping up culinary delights in the kitchen, I find joy in a wide array of creative pursuits. My interests span far and wide, from immersing myself in the vibrant world of K-pop and Korean dramas to learning new songs and savoring a calming cup of tea.

 

Academically, I am currently enrolled in the IB Diploma program, focusing on subjects that reflect my diverse interests and talents: Film, Visual Arts, and English Literature at the Higher Level, and Environmental Systems and Societies, Math Analysis and Approaches, and Japanese at the Standard Level.

 

Beyond academics, I'm a leader of the Theater, Art, and Band clubs, while also actively participating in the Netball, Gladiator Fitness, TEDx, and Dance clubs. As if that weren't enough, I'm a certified ESL teacher with a TEFL qualification, reflecting my commitment to both learning and teaching.
